2. Your ditch will be cleaned if we feel it necessary. Problem spots are normally located by county Engineers Department. Lorain County Prefers to set ditches back and lay down slopes for easier maintenance. Wider berms are set along the roads for a safer highway system

3. Driveway installments require a permit. These will be provided at no cost to you. Property owner must purchase drain pipe and meet all requirements including permit. Lorain County Engineers office will schedule and complete installation.

4. Ditch tile for front yards also require a permit. This keeps the yard easier to maintain and prevents ditches from eroding. The homeowner is responsible for purchasing the pipe and hardware. Lorain County Engineers will supply the dirt upon availability to cover the tile two inches below grade. It is also the homeowners responsibility to supply and lay the top soil and seed if necessary.
